The Fisker team opens the NYSE for trading by ringing the bell nearly two years after going public during the pandemic.
Today, Henrik, Geeta, Burkhard, members of the Fisker team, investors, and stakeholders were at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The company rang the NYSE bell to open the stock market for trading. At 9:30am Eastern Time, Henrik did the honors of ringing the NYSE bell while standing next to the Fisker team. This celebratory ringing comes nearly two years after Fisker was listed on the NYSE as a publicly traded company. See a photo gallery of today’s event below!
During the heart of the pandemic, Fisker went public on October 30, 2020. The company building the world’s most sustainable vehicle went public by way of a reverse merger. They merged with Spartan Energy Acquisition Corp. At the time, Henrik and the team virtually rang the NYSE bell. However, today was the day they got to experience the real thing. Another historic milestone for the company on the heels of the official start of production last week in Graz, Austria.
In a video released by the NYSE, it follows the Fisker team throughout their visit to the NYSE, which includes invitees checking out one of the latest Fisker Ocean electric SUVs. It begins by showing the Fisker team and invitees gathered under the façade banner. A group photo is taken in front of the historic NYSE building on Wall Street. Then, you can see Henrik opening the market by ringing the bell, making remarks to attendees, and walking the floor of the exchange. It also shows off festivities outdoors, which included a DJ, roaming photo booth, and snacks from a food truck.
