The Fisker team took to social media today to share video of the Fisker Ocean at the beach, but it was what Henrik said that is most intriguing.
Today, the Fisker team shared a video clip of the Fisker Ocean at the beach across social media. The (pre-recorded) video clip of the sunny beach was cool to see. This is especially so on what is a rainy and overcast day in Southern California! However, the video clip of the Fisker Ocean packed full of beach gear wasn’t what was particularly neat to see. [Ok, that was pretty neat to see too!] Actually, it was what Henrik Fisker shared himself.
Firstly, Henrik shared some important information. You’re probably thinking it was what was listed in the headline of this article, but it’s not. Well, that’s pretty important too. (More on this in a minute.) Henrik was asked a very important question in the comments of his post, “Does the collapse of the SVB affect Fisker at all?” At the moment, this has probably been on the mind of a lot of Fisker stakeholders. Especially, if you watch business news.
You probably have heard about the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). This fiasco isn’t particularly good for startups, venture backed companies, and really anyone having a banking relationship with the failed Silicon Valley bank. Fisker reported cash and cash equivalents of $736.5 million as of December 31, 2022 during their Q4 2022 earnings results. Well, Henrik answered the question about the collapse of SVB. He said, “No, we do not do business with them.“

Secondly, in Henrik’s post today, he also said something else intriguing. While he posted the same video clip of the Fisker Ocean at the beach. He said, “Fisker Ocean EV, the worlds most sustainable car! …getting ready to deliver! More info end of this month!” If you’ve been following along, you know we’re waiting for homologation and regulatory approvals to be completed. Then, Fisker will start customer deliveries. Now we know our next update from Henrik will come at the end of this month!

Hi I am on the UK wait list and have been trying to find out when Fisker will release the finance options for UK buyers. Before I commit to buying I also need to understand how we will be able to get the car serviced and if needs be repaired under warranty. Until I understand the answers I don’t think I will be able to commit to a purchase order.
Hi Ken, Thanks for your comment. Limited details have been released about Fisker Finance (auto loans) and service centers in the UK at this time. As soon as that info is available we will publish an article about it!
