Fisker Ocean Automated FI-Pilot Calibration at Magna Steyr

Henrik Fisker gives a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of a few Fisker Ocean Ones at the end of the Magna Steyr production line as they undergo FI-Pilot (ADAS) calibration.

Today, Henrik Fisker provided us with a behind-the-scenes look of FI-Pilot (ADAS) calibration at the Magna Steyr factory. In a short video clip, we get to see a half dozen Fisker Ocean Ones at the end of the production line and a couple of them getting ready to undergo Fi-Pilot calibration in one of several stations. This marks the first occasion when Henrik has unveiled a sneak peek of “ONE” vehicles undergoing this process. The video showcases a range of exterior colors and wheels, including Mariana and Big Sur Blue, as well as 22″ F3a SlipStream and F5a AirGlider wheels.

Fisker Intelligent Pilot (FI-Pilot) was introduced at the beginning of last year. The FI-Pilot, an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), offers state of the art safety to drivers and passengers. The ADAS platform integrates four types of sensors. For instance, these include an industry-leading surround-view camera suite, a camera-based driver-monitoring system, ultrasonic technology, and a Digital-Imaging Radar System. Each of these equip the Fisker Ocean with advanced safety features. The Fisker Ocean’s cameras provide the latest-generation vision capability, and a 360-degree camera system enabling base-level object detection.

Each Fisker Ocean trim offers FI-Pilot technology to a varying degree as either a standard or optional upgrade. However, the Ocean Extreme trim provides the full FI-Pilot Package some of which will be available through an over-the-air software update in Q4 2023. The full feature set includes 360° Surround View with 3D, Automatic Emergency Braking-Premium Feature Suite, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Lane Departure Avoidance, Traffic Sign/Light Recognition, Intelligent Speed Assist, Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning, Parking Assist, Auto High Beam, Door Opening Incident Warning, Front Cross Traffic Collision Mitigation, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Mitigation, Evasive Steering Assist, Integrated Drive Assist, Lange Change Assist, and Park My Car.
