Fisker starts official production of the Fisker Ocean electric SUV at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria as the company is now making sellable vehicles.
Today, marks the official start of production of the Fisker Ocean electric SUV. If you’ve been following along, each week we’ve been counting down the days for this very moment. The day is finally here! Yes, it’s November 17th and the company, together with its partner Magna Steyr, has begun assembling sellable electric vehicles. ?
Production for the Fisker Ocean will take place in Graz, Austria at Magna Steyr. The CO2 neutral factory primarily runs on hydropower. It’s a very sophisticated factory and we’ve seen it firsthand. We’ve seen pre-production Fisker Oceans being produced on the high volume assembly line at Magna Steyr with our very own eyes. It’s a beautiful sight to see.
Fisker has begun producing its limited edition launch vehicle named Ocean One. The company is producing 5,000 launch vehicles. Each Fisker Ocean One will be numbered 1 through 5,000. Most customers that have preordered an Ocean One will take delivery of their launch vehicle in the first half of 2023. Then the company will move on to producing Ocean Extreme, Ultra, and Sport.
Fisker is expected to ramp production in Austria with 300 units of the Fisker Ocean manufactured in Q1 of 2023. The company plans a rapid increase to over 8,000 units in Q2. Then, more than 15,000 units of the electric SUV will follow in Q3, and in Q4 the company will finish the year with enough units to total 42,400.

The configurator on the website is pretty slick. I’m kind of disappointed with all the cost adders for any color other than white, tires, interior. The 22″ tire upgrade is pretty steep!
