Fisker has three places where customers can reserve the Fisker Ocean and Fisker PEAR, which includes its website, iOS app, and Android app. In August 2021, the iOS app had 304 reviews in the Apple Appstore and the Android app had 196 reviews in the Google Play Store. As of today, the iOS app has 324 reviews and the Android app has 225 reviews and each app store boasts a rating of 5 stars and 4.5 stars respectively.
Last earnings report, the company reported 72k registrations presumably the majority of those were completed using their mobile apps, which means very few customers have provided a review for the Fisker Flexee apps for either iOS and Android. The company could benefit by asking customers to rate the apps in-app to help boost this number as it will help boost their app store position. This can be done using the popular, “Do you love this app?” button or by simply having a button to review the app that directs customers to the respective app store to leave a review.
It’s also kind of odd that the iOS sits in the Shopping category, whereas the Android app is in the Auto category. The iOS app could probably do much better sitting in the Lifestyle category seeing as that aligns better with the company’s marketing efforts.
