Today, we’ve learned that Fisker ($FSR) leased a new property in Orange County according to real estate brokerage data. The company is expanding its research and development efforts. Fisker needs more space as they grow their electric vehicle lineup and in-house technology team.

First reported by the OC Business Journal, the company signed a lease for a 78,980-square-foot building in La Palma, CA. This property is a light manufacturing building about the same size as Fisker’s Manhattan Beach headquarters.

The new property is located at 14 Centerpointe Drive, approximately 23 miles west of the Fisker headquarters. Fisker’s new building is within the Centerpointe La Palma complex, which is a 10-building business park. According to the OC Business Journal, Fisker started construction last month. The company plans to move into the building this October. As of Q1 2022 earnings call, Fisker had 450 global employees. Fisker anticipates expanding its workforce to 800 employees by the end of this year. We may hear more about this during next week’s earnings call.
