Today, Fisker announced a new digital financing platform. The new platform is Fisker Finance. It is a direct-to-consumer digital financing platform. For instance, it will be used for customers to obtain auto loans when purchasing Fisker electric vehicles.

According to the company, customers will be able apply for vehicle financing, receive competitive, and personalized decisions. The company will use this platform to launch other financial products in the future like auto insurance.

Fisker will work with Chase Bank in the United States like it announced at its annual shareholder meeting in June. Also, the company will work with Santander Consumer Finance in Europe. Both of these banks will be Fisker’s retail financing partners. The company plans to launch Fisker Finance in the fourth quarter of 2022.

How Fisker Finance will work

The company confirmed today that you will be able to apply for financing of the Fisker Ocean using the Fisker mobile app or the company’s website. The company says you can navigate the digital loan process at your own pace.

You will be able to select a retail financing structure that best fits your needs. For example, you will be able to choose loans with 48, 60, or 72 month terms. Throughout the process, you will be able to review your financing details and electronically sign documents online. Following the delivery of your electric vehicle, you will be able to digitally access your account, make payments, and obtain personalized customer support.

The announcement of Fisker Finance comes ahead of production which starts on November 17, 2022. Consumers who pre-ordered the Fisker Ocean One will be able to use Fisker Finance to fund their purchase of the launch edition. Pre-ordering Fisker Ocean One is still open to early reservation holders in select markets.
