EV Tax Credit, Ocean One Sold Out, Earnings, 56,000 Reservations, & New PEAR Photo

This week in Fisker was packed with big news from Ocean One selling out to Fisker implementing its plan for the $7,500 EV tax credit.

Today, this week in Fisker was dominated by the Federal EV tax credit. Fisker Ocean reservation holders in the United States will be impacted by this legislation if it passes. Fisker implemented its plan, which possibly gives reservation holders access to the $7,500 tax credit.

Nothing is guaranteed. The legislation could change or be interpreted differently by the Internal Revenue Service. Firstly, it’s recommended to covert Fisker Ocean reservations to non-refundable orders. Secondly, we need to wait to see how this plays out in US Congress. Thirdly, you will have to consult your tax advisor.

Earnings Took Center Stage

Aside from changes to the Federal EV tax credit system, this past week was a busy one with Fisker earnings mid-week. We live streamed the entire earnings call and it was quite fun to chat with Fisker investors, readers, and YouTube subscribers. The company released a lot of news and we did our best to capture it all. Earnings were better than expectations.

The company announced the Fisker Ocean One was completely sold out. That was probably the biggest news of the week. Then, the company said they now have 56,000 Fisker Ocean reservations. The Fisker Ocean will commence production on November 17, 2022. Fisker will ramp up to 40,000-50,000 units in 2023. It appears the com is on track and firing on all cylinders.

Henrik appeared on Yahoo Finance and talked about Q2 2022 earnings, Fisker Ocean, PEAR, reservations, production, EV tax credit legislation, and more. It was quite a good interview if you have not yet watched it. Henrik talked about how the company has already built 55 prototypes and the test vehicles that are now in Los Angeles.
