109 Days to Production, Fisker Ocean Test Car Videos, Pebble Beach, & EV Tax Credit

This week was all about Henrik Fisker’s test vehicle with videos surfacing of the pre-production Fisker Ocean electric SUV all over Los Angeles.

Today, we are 109 days to start of production for the Fisker Ocean at Magna Steyr. This week in Fisker was packed with videos of Henrik Fisker’s test vehicle. In fact, Henrik’s test vehicle was probably the highlight and for good reason.

Henrik’s test vehicle was delivered to him early in the week. We saw his Fisker Ocean test vehicle driving on actual roads here in Southern California for the very first time. The test vehicle was spotted all over Los Angeles. We saw it cruise down the Interstate 405 Freeway, down to the beach on Highway 101, and even on the famous Sunset Strip.

Fisker let us know yesterday that the test vehicle lacks full functionality, design elements, features, and textures. That means, don’t be alarmed if you see it around Southern California and think something is missing. The company is using this test vehicle to make additional refinements, ensuring the vehicles delivered to us are outstanding and exceed our expectations.

This week we also found out the Fisker Ocean One was not sold out. That upset some people, but it is what it is. However, today we are seeing less email invites being sent out as the days go on. Also, we noticed some employees purchasing their Fisker Ocean One at the end of the week. The company will provide us an update on Ocean One next week during their earnings call.

Newsworthy events

There is never a time when something exciting is not going on in the world of Fisker. For example, the company issued a press release this week about heading to Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August. The Fisker Ocean will be on display during Monterey Car Week. Furthermore, there was a lot of excitement around the proposed EV Tax Credit legislation. Henrik addressed it briefly on Instagram. We look forward to some comments about it on the earnings call next week.

Next week is going to be busy. We’re gearing up for Fisker’s earnings call on Wednesday afternoon. You should expect a lot of updates and news to drop.
