Henrik Fisker drops new photo and details of the Fisker PEAR EV interior providing us a sneak peak at the revolutionary design.
Today, Henrik Fisker revealed a sneak peak of the Fisker PEAR EV interior. He mentioned yesterday morning on the company’s 2022 Annual Shareholder Meeting that he was going to reveal something later this week.
No one thought he’d drop the photo and details just after the stroke of midnight. Henrik shared a never before seen photo and details of the Fisker PEAR’s interior design.
Fisker Houdini Trunk
Henrik said the Fisker PEAR‘s interior will offer a new level of storage for its segment. Fisker PEAR EV will have the first-ever Fisker Houdini trunk.
An alternative to traditional rear cargo hatches. Intended for a metropolitan lifestyle. We still haven’t seen a photo of the trunk yet. However, it sound pretty innovative. We have a guess at what it will do.
The Houdini trunk is a disappearing trunk! Don’t you know who The Great Harry Houdini is? Escape artist. Illusionist. The PEAR EV trunk won’t open like a traditional vehicle. It has the illusion of vanishing in the design.
Fisker PEAR Design
According to Fisker, “Design-wise, the beltline and side window area are extremely low, with a large, wraparound windscreen affording a commanding view when driving.” In the photo, you can see the glass panels along the upper half of the vehicle. Every person in the cabin will have a stellar view including the driver.
Henrik said the design is revolutionary, both interior and exterior, because it will use less parts than a traditional vehicle. As you look at the dashboard, it’s obvious that it is streamlined. Air vents are nowhere to be seen. Door handles hidden. The vehicle’s seats appear to have the same design as the Fisker Ocean with unconventional seams.
Previously, the company said the five-passenger PEAR EV will focus on industry firsts. That is apparent when looking at the surroundings through the interior glass design. Also, the Fisker PEAR will be available in two configurations. Rear-wheel-drive with a single motor. All-wheel-drive with a dual motor. The Fisker PEAR will offer four levels of option packages. Currently, these are TBD.
Battery Range
This urban mobile device is designed for city dwellers. The Fisker PEAR offers two battery packs similar to the Fisker Ocean. It will have the larger Hyper Range pack with a range over 310 miles. It will also feature the Fisker SolarSky panoramic roof. This will add 1,500 to 2,000 emissions-free miles each year to the battery. That’s nice with gas prices at an all-time high.
Prototype Testing
Fisker will begin prototype testing at the end of 2022. The Fisker PEAR EV will be fully revealed in the second half of 2023. That means Fisker may provide us a partial reveal much earlier than that. PEAR will enter production in 2024. It will be produced at a plant owned by Fisker partner Foxconn. Both companies expects to make 250,000 units per year.
Reservations
Fisker is standing by the price all the way out to 2024. The electric vehicle will be affordably price below $29,900. This excludes government tax incentives. Fisker PEAR already has over 3,200 reservations. The Fisker PEAR EV is getting ready to become the 21st century’s most innovative vehicle.
