The day after Foxconn acquires the Lordstown factory, Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker visits the site where Fisker PEAR will be assembled.

Today, Henrik Fisker visited the Fisker PEAR factory in Lordstown. He shared a photo of his visit. This new Foxconn assembly plant is the site where Fisker PEAR will be assembled in 2024.
Fisker’s manufacturing partner Foxconn closed its acquisition of the electric vehicle factory earlier this week. The operational 6.2 million-square-foot EV manufacturing plant is located in Lordstown, Ohio.
Fisker and Foxconn will build Fisker’s second vehicle, the Fisker PEAR, at the Lordstown factory. Fisker PEAR will start production in 2024 and have an expected base price below $29,900. According to Henrik Fisker, “The exterior design will feature new lighting technology and a wraparound front windscreen inspired by a glider plane glass canopy, enhancing frontal vision.”
The two companies intend to build a minimum of 250,000 PEAR vehicles a year once the plant ramps up production. As mentioned on the Q1 2022 earnings call, Fisker said there will be three derivatives of the Fisker PEAR including the compact car we know about and something resembling a Jeep Wrangler. Fisker and Foxconn have ambitions to build over 1 million Fisker PEARs a year by 2027.
