Foxconn is making progress with preliminary renovations to the Fisker PEAR production line in Lordstown, Ohio.

Today, Liberty Times reported the Fisker PEAR production line is undergoing preliminary renovations. The Fisker PEAR production line is expected to be fully designed and upgraded by the first quarter of 2024. The national newspaper, published in Taiwan, also said Foxconn announced it will increase its capital investment in Lordstown, Ohio.
Fisker is engineering the PEAR EV using novel automotive specifications such as innovative front and rear storage. The company is trying to reduce moving parts to keep costs low. This will allow Fisker to sell the electric vehicle for $29,900. A few months ago we saw the distinctive Fisker PEAR driving through Los Angeles. We think the Fisker PEAR is quite impressive with its prominent fenders that give the car a commanding wide posture.
The compact electric vehicle with its innovative features will start production in the second half of 2024. At peak production, the Foxconn factory in Lordstown will produce 250,000 units/year. Currently, Fisker has more than 5,600 reservations for this EV model. Fisker shared more details about the PEAR’s exterior design last week. For example, the EV’s rear lighting comprising of a seamless light strip and built-in high-mounted brake light encircling the rear window. As more details emerge, we will be sure to share them.
