Foxconn Closes Lordstown Deal to Build Fisker PEAR

Foxconn closes $230 million deal for Lordstown Motors factory in Ohio to build the Fisker PEAR in 2024.

This evening that Foxconn closed the deal with Lordstown Motors for the former GM factory in Lordstown, Ohio.

The $230 million deal establishes a footprint for the Taiwan-based technology company to build the Fisker PEAR.

Fisker and Foxconn partnered in February 2021 to develop a breakthrough electric vehicle. Foxconn will start production of the Fisker PEAR in 2024.

Foxconn will manufacture the vehicle at projected annual volumes of more than 250,000. The Global market scope include North America, Europe, China, and India. This will be the second vehicle introduced by the Fisker brand, following the launch of the Ocean SUV in Q4 2022. Fisker’s third vehicle will be the RÅŒNIN supercar priced near $200k.
