Essentially, warranties cover defects or damage that can’t be considered normal wear and tear. For example, a warranty will cover a motor that unexpectedly stops working or a display screen that dies early. It won’t cover certain wear and tear items or abuse to the vehicle. This may include things like scratches on your wheels or paint, dents in the body, worn out tires or brake pads, dried out windshield wipers, or even burnt out headlight bulbs.
Limited Warranty Overview
As the company gets closer to production, Fisker wants to build trust with consumers and over 45,000 reservation holders. In February, Fisker announced an industry-leading warranty for the Fisker Ocean at Mobile World Congress.
The company is in the process of performance testing each of its vehicles. Fisker is putting them through tough conditions. The company wants to show it stands behind the dependability and reliability of each vehicle it produces.
Fisker designed its warranty and service experience for convenience and trust in the company’s brand. The company went with a basic warranty of 6 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. For service, the company is offering at-home vehicle pick-up, or Fisker Mobile Service, for customers who prefer skilled technicians come to them through its Cox Automotive partnership.

The warranty guide will provide full details a consumer buying a new vehicle would expect. It will have all the fine print. It should tell an owner how to take advantage of the warranty should any issues arise.

Fisker Ocean new vehicle limited warranty details:
- Comprehensive: The cost of all parts and labor necessary for any defective materials are covered for 6 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- Powertrain: Coverage includes the drivetrain and components for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- Battery Pack: Coverage includes all components inside the high-voltage battery and 75% or more of the battery capacity for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- Corrosion (Perforation): Undamaged body panels that are perforated by corrosion will be covered for 12 years with unlimited miles.
- Roadside Assistance: Included with your vehicle for repairs that are covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty — 6 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Roadside Assistance for non-warranty repairs is also available at the vehicle owner’s expense.
