Combined Fisker Ocean and Fisker PEAR reservations stand at 36.5k according to our analysis.
As of today, our independent analysis shows 36,500 combined reservations for Fisker Ocean and PEAR electric vehicles. The company confirmed 33k reservations on 2/28. It is likely Fisker won’t share reservation numbers until the Q1 earnings call or unless the company hits another milestone (i.e., rental car fleet order). Our estimates show an increase of 3,500 reservations since the start of the month. We’ve been tracking all channels where customers can reserve the Fisker Ocean. Our analysis takes into account website traffic patterns, app downloads, and other key metrics.
Execution and excitement matters
As of late, the company has been firing on all cylinders. The company recently completed two important milestones, which generated a lot of press. Starting pre-production at Magna Steyr of the first 50 electric vehicles. And the European reveal of the Fisker Ocean at MWC. These events have allowed the company to sustain traffic to its website and app store rankings. Additionally, Henrik Fisker and the company have also been good at keeping up the excitement across all their social media accounts.
Fisker’s website traffic rank is up
According to Alexa.com global traffic rank, estimates of Fisker’s website is #56,360 out of all websites on the internet. The Fisker site has improved by 42.3k positions in the past 90 days. To put this into perspective, Tesla ranks at #1,195, Lucid Motors ranks at #32,008, and Rivian at #22,184. In the last 90 days, traffic rank of Tesla’s site is up 10%. Whereas Lucid’s site is down 69% and Rivian’s site is down 67%. Website ranking estimates are based on traffic patterns across millions of web users throughout the world. This shows Fisker’s site is holding steady since the rise in February 2022. On a country by country basis, the Fisker website ranks #18,576 in the USA, #7,520 in Norway, and #53,915 in the UK.
Countries of importance
Furthermore, website traffic ranks highest in the United States, Norway, and United Kingdom. This is significant, because reservation holders in these countries will receive Fisker Ocean deliveries later this year. Make up of visitor traffic from each country is 67.7% (???????? United States), 4.5% (???????? Norway), and 4.1% (???????? United Kingdom). Visitors from these countries represent over 75% of all traffic to Fisker’s website. Reservations for Fisker Ocean are more important right now since Fisker PEAR deliveries won’t start until 2024.
App downloads back to pre-MWC numbers
In early March, the Fisker Flexee App made massive gains in Google Play. The Fisker app saw a rise in downloads not only in Europe, but also in the United States. Much of this success is from the successful European debut and a spike in oil prices. However, the Fisker Flexee app saw a decrease in app downloads this past week across the board in both Google Play and the Apple App Store. This is no surprise after a drop in press coverage post Mobile World Congress 2022. App download numbers appear to be back to pre-Mobile World Congress, which is not a bad thing.
What to expect going forward
With gas prices sky high, we believe reservations for both the Fisker Ocean and Fisker PEAR will continue to tick up. AAA national average gas price are $4.25 as of today off from the high of $3.33 on 3/11/2022. As a Fisker enthusiast or stakeholder, you may want to reserve your own Fisker electric vehicle now if you haven’t already done so. For a $250 deposit, your reservation will give you optionality in 2023 and 2024 if you need a new vehicle.
