Fisker confirms Ocean One pre-orders are closed and a waitlist will open August 15th in the event there are any pre-order cancellations.
Today, Fisker confirms Ocean One pre-ordering is now closed. The company sent out an email communication earlier this morning titled, “Fisker Ocean One Pre-Orders Closed”.
Fisker will open a waitlist on August 15th in the event there are any pre-order cancellations. If someone on the waitlist gets an opportunity to pre-order the launch vehicle, they will be able to secure their Ocean One with a $5,000 non-refundable deposit.
Fisker officially began pre-ordering of Ocean One to its reservation holders on July 1st. It took the company nearly a month to close pre-orders for Fisker Ocean One. The process seemed to drag out longer than a lot of people would have expected. This was partly due to all of the excitement leading up to the big event.
Remember the poll?
We conducted a poll about how long it would take to sell out of Ocean One pre-orders before things got started. Our guess was the company would need to contact 5k to 6k reservations holders to sell out. Granted, we didn’t know Fisker was going to require a $5,000 non-refundable deposit, nor did anyone else. It appears the company contacted a lot of their reservations holders, but not all of them according to our data points. There are still people in Fiskerati Forums that want to purchase the launch vehicle.
All signs pointing to selling out
Last night, we said all signs were pointing to Ocean One selling out. In fact, we said the company would issue a press release or make a statement today about pre-ordering ahead of their earnings call tomorrow. Bingo! Well, the statement we’ve been waiting is copied below.
Also, having already read posts on social media and forums there are a lot of skeptics out there. People are questioning whether or not the company has sold out all 5,000 units of Fisker Ocean One. Sure, Fisker didn’t specifically use the words sold out, but rather closed. It’s entirely possible there are a few Ocean Ones remaining, but largely sold out across the world.
If you’re not in tune with what’s going on you haven’t been following along. Over the past 48 hours the company began turning away reservation holders that wanted to pre-order the Ocean One. Plain and simple. The company met its target goal and now we are on to the next act.
In Fisker’s words…
Fisker reached out to our reservation holders to secure one of the first 5,000 Fisker Oceans produced: the launch edition Fisker Ocean One. Pre-orders for the launch edition Fisker Ocean One are now closed. On August 15th, Fisker will open a waitlist for the Fisker Ocean One. In the event Fisker receives an Ocean One pre-order cancellation, we will offer the next waitlist customer the opportunity to place a $5,000 non-refundable pre-order deposit. Thank you to those Fisker reservation holders who pre-ordered an Ocean One! For those who prefer a Fisker Ocean Extreme, Ultra, or Sport: we are excited to have you as a customer, and your time to secure your Fisker Ocean is coming soon.

Why would Fisker take till October to bring in the new 3D configurator for the Ocean? Honestly, i am having a hard time choosing the color for my One.
Not sure if we can see some of these colors in person to decide, especially we are putting lot of faith and money in a vehicle without driving it
I was ready to order the 1 but days late to my email so they passed on me ?
You may have a second chance if you’re quick on adding your name to the waitlist on August 15th.
