Fisker Ocean has now undergone some of the most extreme weather testing with the latest trip to Death Valley in 122° weather.
Today, we’ve learned the Fisker Ocean has underdone excessive heat testing in Death Valley. The Fisker Ocean drove through the scorching desert in Eastern California yesterday. The electric vehicle travelled the winding roads in 122 degree weather. That now means the Fisker Ocean has completed some of the most extreme road and weather testing known to man.
Henrik Fisker took to socials to share a short clip and stated, “122 degrees, excessive heat testing in Death Valley yesterday!” Earlier this year, the company reported the Fisker Ocean completed extensive winter testing in Sweden back in March. This was in addition to durability testing in high-speed/high-load conditions in April. At the time, the company said the Fisker Ocean was performing ongoing IIHS crash testing. A month later, Henrik teased of a 5-star rating.
We are just 77 days away from the official start of production for the Fisker Ocean. The company appears to continue testing the electric SUV, putting it through the wringer. Just yesterday, Henrik shared that he visited Detroit to test out the FI-Pilot ADAS technology. All of this testing gives Fisker the ability to tweak and fine-tune the software that will control the electric vehicle. Since the Fisker Ocean is an internet connected vehicle, Fisker will be able to send customers software improvements using over-the-air updates after taking delivery of their vehicle.

I am curious as to what goes into these extreme weather tests. I assume it is much more than just driving a vehicle through hit and cold environments a couple of times. Does anyone know?
