Breaking News: Fisker Ocean Deliveries to Begin May 5th in Europe

Fisker receives European certification for the all-electric Fisker Ocean SUV as it prepares for regional deliveries starting May 5th.

Today, Fisker announced European regulators have certified the all-electric Fisker Ocean SUV. The company intends to start delivering vehicles to European customers on May 5th. Henrik Fisker, Chairman & CEO, stated that the entire Fisker team is excited to deliver the Fisker Ocean One launch edition to reservation holders. The company expects to deliver all Ocean Ones by the end of September for European and North American launch markets. Fisker also plans to initiate deliveries of the Fisker Ocean Extreme starting in Europe, followed by the United States.

Fisker went on to share they also produced several Fisker Ocean Ultra and and Sport trims for testing and homologation purposes. The automaker anticipates customer delivery of the mid and lowest priced trims will start in September 2023. The Fisker Ocean recently obtained a WLTP certification in Europe of up to 707 km/440 UK miles for the Fisker Ocean Extreme trim level, the longest of any battery-electric SUV currently on sale in the region.

Henrik Fisker said that the company simultaneously pursued a dual homologation process for the Fisker Ocean in Europe and the United States. This allowed Fisker to capitalize on their unique business model. It displays the company’s flexibility to adjust production and sales based on regional demand. Furthermore, the announcement of the WLTP range for the Fisker Ocean Extreme led to an increase in European reservations. Launch markets in Europe include Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

After that, we intend to deliver all Ocean Ones by the end of September while also initiating some deliveries of the Fisker Ocean Extreme, starting in Europe with the U.S. to follow.”
