Demand for the Fisker Ocean is high and the company expects to see up to 75,000 reservations by the end of the year.
To date, the company has currently taken over 45,000 reservations for the Fisker Ocean as of May 2, 2022, including 1,600 fleet reservations. This represents approximately 50% growth since last earnings call. Fisker said it is on pace to see Fisker Ocean reservations between 65,000 to 75,000 by the end of the year. According to Henrik Fisker, there is incredible demand for the Fisker Ocean. He went on to say the company may sell out capacity through most of 2023. Most of the purchase orders will be for the premium Fisker Ocean electric SUV trims.
Fisker will open pre-order reservations for the limited edition Fisker Ocean One on July 1, 2022. Indications show that many reservation holders intend to purchase one of the two top Fisker Ocean trims. The Fisker Once One launch edition and the Fisker Ocean Extreme, both priced at $68,999 in the United States. If Fisker keeps up this pace, the company may need to triple production in 2024 with up to 150,000 units. The company is currently working with suppliers to get on board to ramp Fisker Ocean production.
Earlier this week, the company announced the Fisker RŌNIN project. It’s an electric convertible supercar priced at $200k with range that could top 600 miles per charge. Also, Fisker showed a photo of its current EV line up it expects to be in production by 2025. The company appears to be hitting its stride and setting itself up for long-term growth.
