Fisker Ocean Undergoes More Fine Tuning at Magna Test Track

Hinrich Woebcken, former Chairman & CEO of Volkswagen Group of America

Henrik Fisker seen on Magna Steyr test track with former colleague for more fine tuning of the Fisker Ocean.

Today, Henrik Fisker was at Magna Steyr to check out the assembly line. He showed off some newly installed KUKA high-volume assembly robots. While present at the CO2 neutral factory, he couldn’t help himself to take the Fisker Ocean for a test drive.

Fisker posted a photo of himself on the Magna test track. He was with Hinrich Woebcken, ex-colleague from BMW, who was also the former Chairman & CEO of Volkswagen Group of America. The two former colleagues were accompanied by Bosch engineers for more fine tuning of the Fisker Ocean.

Woebcken replied to Fisker’s LinkedIn post, saying, “Proud to be part as Executive Senior Advisor to Fisker Inc. on this great journey bringing an affordable premium, cool car on the road in record time by end this year.” That makes two high-profile automotive CEOs confident in the Fisker Ocean being ready by November 2022.

Fisker Ocean on Magna Steyr Test Track

Back in April, the executive leadership team at Fisker took the electric SUV for a spin around the Magna Steyr test track in Graz, Austria. During that visit, Henrik was seen driving around the track at speeds over 100 MPH. The company is dialing in the Fisker Ocean ahead of the November 17th start of production.
